In 2010, Unilever, the world’s largest consumer goods company, launched a global sustainable developmentstrategy. LUX, a well-known brand under Unilever, joined hands with China Environmental Protection Foundation to launch “LUX Green Khabtags: The Transformation of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau by 1m2 per Person per RMB” (“LUX Green Khabtags”).
Hand in Hand in 2011
The implementation of the “LUX Green Khabtags”campaign has played an important role in accelerating the construction of grassland in Tibet, China and promoting the restoration and reconstruction of degraded grassland. Equally, by launching the “LUX Green Khabtags”campaign, LUX not only improved its business relations, but also strengthened its strategic partnerships of mutual interests. Furthermore, the project boosted consumers’ willingness to purchase LUX products. Therefore, the campaign has created public welfare benefits for Tibet’s environment, as well as commercial value to the LUX brand, emphasizing the sustainable business model promoted by Unilever.
Start in 2013
SEPA has been actively involved in the imposition, execution and promotion of the “LUX Green Khabtags” campaign since 2011. Over the past seven years, SEPA hascompleted a huge load of work to ensure the smooth progress and wide dissemination of the project.
Transfer to war in 2014
Over the past seven years, in order to continuously expand the influence of the “LUX Green Khabtags”, SEPA has maintained close relations with China Environmental Protection Foundation and conducted comprehensive ecological research in Tibet. Furthermore,SEPA has obtained support from government officials, senior ecological experts, famous celebrities, and well-known public figures for the project. As a result, “LUX Green Khabtags” has been covered by over 1,300 news articles, with commercial value of approximately 30 million RMB.
Stick to the Wind and Rain of 2015 in 2017
Whether it is to initiate the “Lhasa Dialogue”, where domestic and foreign guests are invited to talk about public welfare and share corporate social responsibility ideas, or to put forward the concept of “The Third Pole of Public Welfare” and call on all sectors of society to pay more attention to and contribute towards the ecological environment of Tibet,SEPA has represented LUX as the leading enterprise for promoting sustainable development.
Co-construction in 2016
In 2017, “LUX Green Khabtags” has planted over 10,000 mu of grassland in Tibet. The achievement of 10,000 mu is a milestone for the project indeed. In the future, SEPA will continue to work with LUX, and use the most professional public relations wisdom to join hands with responsible enterprises for the benefit of Tibet.
